Parker Thompson Confirms Global 2026 Racing Program
CHARLOTTE, NC
Parker Thompson will contest a multi-series, international racing program in 2026, competing across the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the Asian Le Mans Series.
At the global level, Thompson joins Team WRT for a full-season campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship, marking his debut in the series. Driving the BMW M4 GT3, Thompson will compete at several of endurance racing’s most iconic venues, including Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, and Fuji Speedway, as part of WRT’s championship-winning GT3 program.
In North America, Thompson will join PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports and Bryan Herta Autosport for five endurance rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the LMP2 category. The program focuses on IMSA’s longest and most demanding events, including Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, and Road Atlanta.
Thompson will also return to the Asian Le Mans Series, reuniting with WRT in GT3 competition. The winter championship provides valuable endurance experience while expanding his racing activities across Asia and the Middle East.
The 2026 season represents a significant step forward for Thompson, combining opportunities with championship-winning teams across three major endurance racing platforms.
